Known to have elevated the Filipinos’ love for Spanish food and wine, Juan Carlos de Terry first set foot in the Philippines bringing with him his passion for Spanish cuisine. Chef JC started his journey as a soon-to-be celebrated chef by preparing his very own breakfast omelettes at the age of four. It was his mother’s sense and style of cooking that inspired him throughout his cooking exploration.
He started his wine production in the late 1960s and in the 1990s, created a line of preserved food under his own brand Fruterry in Mexico. Now, Chef JC is well-known to many as the king of Spanish cuisine after establishing Terry’s, one of Manila’s finest restaurants with branches in Makati and Ortigas. Terry’s features European-inspired cuisine and an exquisite selection of wines. and gives gourmands an extraordinary taste of Spanish cuisine.
A chemist by profession, Chef JC holds a doctorate in Oenology.
